While the Villagers ofDisney Dreamlight Valleyare practical companions for harvesting resources, Critters, such as Sea Turtles, serve as excellent “comfort” friends that can accompany players wherever they go in the world. Unlike NPC Villagers, Animal Companions do offer any gameplay bonuses or buffs. For instance, having a Level 10 Mickey with Gardening can grant players exponentially more crop yields while farming, butSquirrels, Racoons, or Sea Turtlesdo not grant any sort of advantages. Nevertheless, these animals are adorable and can make great buddies to keep players company as they explore the Valley, clear quests, and gather materials.
Unlocking the Sea Turtle Companion in Dreamlight Valley
To unlock the Sea Turtle as a CritterCompanion inDisney Dreamlight Valley, players will need to find the animal and feed it its preferred or favorite food. As one would expect, the Sea Turtle is located on Dazzle Beach, the ocean biome east and south of the Peaceful Meadow.

Sea Turtles prefer seafood-related items, which can be found on the sandy shores of Dazzle Beach. In particular, Sea Turtles love Seaweed, a resource that can be found randomly on the beach or fished from non-node spots in the water. For clarification, if players use their Royal Fishing Rod to fish at Dazzle Beach but do not cast their line into a fishing spot, there is a good chance they will catch a clump of Seaweed. Accordingly, feeding this item to a Sea Turtle will make it exceptionally happy and allow players to make it into a Companion inDreamlight Valley.
According to YouTuberGosuNoob,Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers can change their Companion to a Sea Turtle by opening the sidebar menu and selecting Wardrobe. Navigate to “Companions,” which is located at the top next to “All” and “Hats.” This action will open a small menu listing all the Critters that like the player character. If users have sufficiently fed a Sea Turtle enough of its preferred and favorite food, it should appear in the list. Players can then choose the turtle, and it will proceed to follow users wherever they go, even into biomes outside of Dazzle Beach.
