Disney Dreamlight Valley developer Gameloft stated that Game Initialization Error 7 only affects players in New Zealand and Australia region. Quitting the game while having the Well Fed buff active will somehow make the game stuck on the loading screen. Gameloft has promised to launch a fix in the upcoming update.
Some players situated in New Zealand and in some states of Australia may experience a game stuck on loading if they quit the game while having the “Well Fed” active buff. This buff appears when you eat a lot of cooked meals and you get the “Golden energy bar” on top of your normal energy bar. This bug will be fixed in an upcoming update.
Although the official patch hasn’t been released yet, thankfully, you can still bypass the error. Several Reddit users in the r/DreamlightValley Subreddit have found a temporary fix to the Game Initialization Error 7 by changing the time zone on their PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox consoles. They recommend changing it to US East, US Central/Canada, and time to 12 hours behind. u/kiwgamedev also listed at least two other bugs that seem to get fixed when you change your time zone:
